As the year 2020 came to a close, the tabletop board games category saw interesting trends in Brazil, according to data provided by Sensor Tower. Here’s a look at how the top 5 apps performed in the fourth quarter.

Chess - Play & Learn showed a remarkable upward trend in both downloads and weekly active users. The app saw downloads surge from 7K in the last week of September to 62K in the final week of December. Weekly active users also grew significantly, from 82K to 215K in the same period. Revenue peaked at almost $10K in the last week of December.

Moonfrog's Ludo Club・Fun Dice Board Game experienced a decrease in downloads from 81K to 72K by the end of December. The weekly active users also saw a decline, starting the quarter with 208K users and dropping to 122K. However, revenue showed a slight increase in the last week of December to $2K.

Backgammon - Lord of the Board by Beach Bum Ltd had a modest number of downloads, starting at zero at the beginning of the quarter and reaching 243 by the end.
